What Makes NPS Unique
Unlike conventional formulas found in most pet treats, Natural Pet Science’s hemp-based recipes provide your beloved pet with excellent plant-based protein and fiber, Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids and a wealth of essential minerals.
The addition of crickets, sweet potatoes, lentils, chickpeas, coconut meal, and other natural ingredients helps boost the nutritional value in each treat. Natural Pet Science is committed to serving our pet clients with snacks that aren’t just healthy but are also less harmful to the environment by using naturally-sourced and sustainable ingredients as the base for our pet treats. These treats are carefully formulated using the highest standards of processing methods to address specific ailments that could impede your pet’s health, using the same natural ingredients humans use to maintain our own well-being.
Launched in June 2017, Natural Pet Science was founded on the idea of bringing the high-quality natural care long served by our parent company, EastWest Bioscience, to our beloved pets.
It all started with Hammy, our resident Cat-in-Chief, who needed a little extra TLC because of her age. We wanted to take the natural benefits that can be found in nature through unique nutrient-rich elements, like hemp seeds and crickets, which are packed full of protein and Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids our cats and dogs need to stay healthy, and which are sustainable protein sources that won’t leave a harsh footprint on Mother Earth.
Natural Pet Science believes in supporting our pet clients to achieve a healthy and sustainable lifestyle. Hemp is considered a “superfood” and is often used as a protein substitute to meat because of its exceptional nutritional profile. We believe in the amazing health benefits of hemp and that a cleaner plant-based lifestyle should not only be for humans, but it should be extended for our beloved pets, too. By incorporating hemp and other natural ingredients into our pets’ diet, they can benefit from hemp as an important source of protein, fibre, Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids, and essential minerals.
